Summary and background
Icon Foundation is accepting proposals for creating a short series of introductory-level video explainers. Icon Foundation has been in operation since 2017 and has grown to include thousands of users. Introductory-level explainers are crucial for the growth and sustenance of the Icon Ecosystem.
This request for proposal has been published to gather bids for the introductory media portion of our Icon Interoperability Incentivization plan.
Guidelines for bidders
All subcontracting intentions must be clearly represented therein. All documents must be prepared and signed by those authorized to do so. All costs must be listed in ICX or bnUSD. Further terms are subject to development pending selection of a bid.
Project purpose and scope
The purpose of the Icon Introductory-level video explainers project is to provide beginner-friendly videos for new and existing community members to gain a deeper understanding of Icon technology. This video series is intended to be low-budget. Part of the reason for this is so that it can be used to inspire other existing or new technical community members to contribute similarly useful video content without worrying about creating overly high production value content. This content should be technical in focus and the audience should be considered proficient in technology development. The project is to be developed to the following specifications:
- Two or more explainer videos covering introductory-level topics, such as “Icon main network structure”, “goloop”, or “setting up a smart contract development environment”
- Whiteboard-style or similar production value video content
- Audio and subtitles in both Korean and English
The contractor will be producing the media and marketing it to the community. Icon Foundation will also negotiate terms of agreement for whether content produced is at a sufficient technical quality (i.e. sufficiently useful to the technical and developer audience).
Proposal timeline and project deadline
Upon contract award, work must be completed within 45 days.
